SAS carer writes book

When Rita Guthrie had a stroke in the spring of 2008, David (her husband and now ‘reluctant carer’), did not know which way to turn and, after two years, Rita’s prognosis was not good.  David’s account of their discovery of treatment in South Africa and Rita’s journey back to full health, apart from short-term memory problems, is remarkable and detailed.  His aim in writing the book is to provide some factual guidance as to what to expect post-stroke and to encourage you to never give up hope of recovery.
